Google will tweak its search engine so that it relegates 'clickbait' content to lower positions

Google has announced Changes in the Finder that seek to prioritize relevant, informative and useful content for the user over those that bet more on strategies to attract clicks.

The tech company is going to modify the ranking with which they are displayed with the relevant content for the user in the Search Engine, with the aim of highlight information that can help the user when you start a search.

Specifically, the new ranking will avoid showing content in the main positions that is not original or of quality, that is, content that “seems to have been created mainly to obtain a good ranking in search engines”, as indicated by on your blog. This type of content is popularly known as ‘clickbait’.


This change will first roll out to English users around the world next week. The company will accompany this ranking with an update that will allow find original and quality reviews in purchase searches.
