Google prepares a novelty in Android 15 aimed at improving the desktop experience of this operating system in regards to the management of several applications in different windows in the different modes it offers.
Android supports the use of multiple applications simultaneously with multi-window mode which the company introduced with Android 7. In this way, it allows the user to watch a video on YouTube while checking their social networks or writing an email, among other combinations.
The multi-window has a split screen mode, but also another free-form mode, which allows you to have more than two open applications in use, which currently does not have a sufficiently refined finish in desktop mode.
Precisely, Google is preparing an improvement to the desktop mode experience, especially with regard to multi-window management, as verified by the specialized portal Android Authority in beta 2.1 of Android 14 QPR3.
This improvement introduces a small menu in each application opened full screen that, in addition to showing the name and icon, allows you to select the way you want to use the 'app': full screen, split screen or free form.
The free form mode has also been improved with a bar that offers information about the 'app' and action buttons, and the ability to move it freely around the device screen and change its size.
