One of the most popular email clients at the moment is Gmail, but unfortunately we receive so many emails throughout the week and even throughout a day, that it is likely that we miss some information.
Now thanks to the Gmail summary cardswe can have at the top of the inbox, the information that interests us that is related, for example, to purchases, events or trips.
These summary cards at the top of the email are compatible with the Gmail for Android and also for iOS.
The Mountain Views have announced that they are going to make improvements to the Gmail summary cards, specifically they have updated the user interface of these cards that now show new action buttons.
In addition to the information previously displayed, they have now included action buttons such as “get directions”, “invite others”, “follow a package”, “sign up”, “remember me” or “mark as paid”.
All of these new Gmail summary cards are dynamic, i.e. They are updated in real time while information related to them is received..
This is how the new Gmail summary cards work
For purchases, these summary cards allow you track packagesbeing able to see order details and find exactly what you have purchased.
For events, you will be able add upcoming calendar eventsyou can even invite other users to join them.
On invoices, you will be able to see and pay bills so you don’t miss any, and you will receive reminders.
About travel, you can manage reservations transportation or hotel, including early check-in if possible.
They have also announced the new section called “coming soon” at the top of the inbox.
This section will display all your purchase summary cards in a stack with various delivery emails, and you can customize it by expanding, discarding, or moving these types of cards.
At the moment, purchase summary cards are being implemented on Android and also on iOS. Regarding the event, invoice and trip summary cards, along with the coming soon function, they will be implemented in the coming months.
