Google begins removing extensions with Manifest V2 from Chrome

This transition officially began this Monday, which means that developers who still have their extensions based on Manifest V2 will see a notification in Chrome Beta, Dev and Canary that will warn them that They will soon no longer be compatible.

Also they will lose their ‘Featured’ badge, if they had it, which is delivered for following recommended practices for Chrome extensions. And if they continue not to adopt the new version, the extensions will be disabled.

Google claims that 85 percent of actively maintained extensions in the Chrome Web Store have already adopted Manifest V3, including AdBlock, Adblock Plus, uBlock Origin and AdGuard.
