July 18 (Portaltic/EP) –
Google will be held at the end of August cleaning apps in play store to eliminate all those that do not meet their minimum requirements for functionality, content and user experience.
The technology company has updated its minimum functionality policy to stop allowing applications that do not have sufficient content or that exhibit unstable behavior, preventing their use on the smartphone.
The aim is to ensure that users access a catalogue of applications that “offers a stable, interactive and attractive user experience”, and as such, starting on August 31, the technology company will remove those that do not pass the review.
Specifically, it will focus on two types of applications: those that have limited functionality and contentand those that show broken functionalityas detailed in his Support Page.
The first category is understood as those that do not have a specific function, little content or have been designed to do nothing. And this category includes applications text only, PDF files or with a single wallpaper.
On the other hand, applications with broken functionality are those that freeze, force close or directly exhibit abnormal behavior. As examples, Google refers to applications that do not install, or once installed they do not load or respond.
