Google Family, a tool for managing family Google accounts, has released new features for family groups that allow parents or guardians to further restrict how much their children spend on their smartphones to avoid end-of-month scares.
Existing features for Google Family allow parents or guardians to set whether their children can purchase paid content, be it in-app purchases or anything else, prior authorization from the child’s parents, avoiding most problems and receiving a subsequent invoice.
Now as we read in the google postparents can establish that children are forced to send purchase requests to their parents if they use another payment method not established by them, as this feature was available for common household payment methods. In this way, the app provides parents with details about what the child wants to buy and which payment method to use.
In any case, this is a great utility from Google for cases where children find some way to get around the restrictions placed and end up causing a great economic imbalance for the family.
