Google has announced that it is going to change the update release cycle for its browser, Google Chrome, and it has done so. in a post on the company blogwhere it is explained, among other things, Multiple updates will be previewed on the stable channel for a small group of users starting in February 2023.
However, the update cycle is going to be the biggest change, because although until now the order in which the patches reach the stable version is starting in canary (the most experimental version of Chrome used to test unstable code), going through Dev, Beta, and finally in Stablefrom Chrome v110 we will also have an Early Stable channel.
The Early Stable channel will function as a sandbox for updates that are considered ready for releasebut that will be tested for a week to find last-minute bugs that, although they should have been found in the Beta channel, sometimes they are triggered right after exiting that channel while fixing another unrelated issue.
Therefore, to understand it, Google Chrome v110 is now available on the Canary and Dev channelswhile it will arrive on January 12 on the Beta channel, on February 1 on the Early Stable channel, and on February 7 for the Stable channelwhich is the one used by the vast majority of Google Chrome users.
