As the company has announced, users will be able to compose complete emails based on dotted lists, write documents from very basic descriptions (less than one line), create multimedia components with images, sound and video in Slides, obtain advanced contextual information in Sheets , and generate backgrounds and summary notes for meetings held through Meet, among many other functions.
These features will be available both through the web interface for internet browsers and through Google’s mobile applications. Its use will apparently be very simple, requiring only the introduction of a brief description of the task to be carried out and clicking the appropriate button. One of the examples provided by Google includes writing an e-mail through minimal information that is “formalized” by clicking on an icon.
All these features have been implemented from PALM, an AI language model developed by Google that will be open. Google’s goal is to rival OpenAI and GPT in the generation of texts and multimedia content, for which it has just launched an API and enterprise tools that will facilitate the creation of all kinds of custom solutions, from chatbots to completely new interfaces. .
New AI content generation features for Google Workspace services will be available starting this month through a limited testing program, first in the United States and initially in English. Later it is expected to reach a wider audience, including other countries and languages.
