“God of War: Ragnarok” is already ‘Gold’ and prepares its launch for PS4 and PS5

In the year 2018, it reached PS4 one of the games that most caught the attention of the gamer community: God of War. It was the reboot of the God of War saga that faced Olympus in three installments for PS1, PS2 and PS3. Of course, the most striking thing was the graphic change, the evolution in the character’s appearance and that now he will face the Norse gods.

Well, on November 9 of this year, it will be released for PS4 and PS5 “God of War: Ragnarok“, the sequel. For now, it is not known if this new saga will end with this game or it will be a trilogy; however, it is already one of the most anticipated titles of the year.

After a long wait, the developer company Santa Monica Studio confirmed that the game reached its Gold stage and no further delays are expected. Reach Gold means the game is finished and ready to be copied to the physical edition CDs.

Of course, this concept has changed over the years because companies were previously unable to modify game elements once they were released. At this time, a day 1 patch could arrive in case bugs or some common performance issues are found.

Special editions of “God of War: Ragnarok”

Santa Monica Studio always has collectors in mind. “God of War: Ragnarok” will also have special physical editions. Launch Edition, on the other hand, is the most basic and has a code to redeem two armors for Kratos and Atreus.

Standard Edition

This version of the game does not have added aesthetic elements, because it is the one that you will find in the PS Store for 60 dollars, the virtual store of your console. If you bought it on PS4, you can upgrade to PS5 for $10.

Digital Deluxe Edition

Not only will you be able to get the armor of the two protagonists with this edition of God of War, but they also include skins for the Swords of Chaos or the Leviathan Ax. In turn, the digital soundtrack, an art book and a theme for the PS4 are included.

Collector’s Edition and Jötnar

This huge box represents the Shrine of the Keeper of Knowledge. Inside you’ll find the game’s download code, a steelbook without the disc, two Vanir figures, a set of dwarven dice, and Thor’s hammer. If you purchased the Jötnar Edition, you’ll get a Bear McCreary music vinyl, Faye, Kratos, and Atreus themed pins, Brok’s dice set, and a map.
