"God of War: Ragnarok" could have had a scene like "Avengers: Endgame" but it ruined the expected moment

One of the most anticipated games of the year has arrived on Sony consoles: “God of War: Ragnarok”. The mighty Kratos returns to action with his son Atreus, who have a difficult mission ahead of them. The game can already be purchased from the PS Store for $60 on PS4 and $70 on PS5.

It’s been four years since gamers used the Blades of Chaos and Kratos’ new icy ax again; so for this new video game an epic scene was expected that gives us the opportunity to take a new weapon.

Of course, we are talking about Thor’s hammer, Mjolnir, which appeared repeatedly in the video game trailers. It was even leaked before launch, the combat between the two gods.

It only took one scene in the style of “Avengers: Endgame” to see the epicness of the video game: Kratos raising the hammer and defeating Thor or his father Odin. However, the moment was terribly ruined.

What happened to the Mjolnir?

If you’ve played the first God of War trilogy, you’ll remember that Kratos is pretty much a collector of weapons, artifacts, and upgrades to the Blades of Chaos that were fused to his arms. However, this changed a bit in the new PlayStation saga.

It’s true that Kratos now wields the Leviathan Ax with the power of freezing, but Ragnarok was the perfect time for the mighty god of war to raise Mjolnir and use its power of thunder.

On a couple of occasions, he uses it against Thor; however, Odin interrupts the scene and kills his own son. There, just like Captain America, Kratos could lift the hammer, but the Norse god just throws it off the stage. We never see Mjolnir again.
