Giganticon is coming to the Killeen Civic and Conference Center this weekend and bringing with it some celebrities and plenty of family entertainment.
After a successful first year in 2022, the convention returns for the third year in a row. It will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
Officials have promised more than 100 exhibitors who will feature comics, toys and collectibles along with artists who will bring the art to life. Guests are invited to bring their favorite costumes, known as cosplay, and join all the talented costumers at the event. There will also be a cosplay contest, with prizes.
During the event there will be a wide variety of food trucks.
Giganticon 2024 will have an activity zone for children. There they can create crafts, drawings and other activities focused on children.
Celebrity guests include Doug Jones, Vinessa Shaw, Omri Katz, Jason Marsden, Ryan Bartley, Nicolas Roy, Lex Lang, Anne Yatco, Avaah Blackwell, Paul Castro Jr., Stephanie Panisello and McKenna Michels. Attendees are invited to meet top television and film celebrities or talk to some of the voice actors from hit anime series.
