The German Defense Minister, Boris Pistorius, promised this Tuesday that he will deliver more military weapons to kyiv within the framework of the visit of the Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelensky, to Germany, a country that has recently announced an aid package valued at almost 500 million of euros.
Zelensky and Pistorius visited a training camp in the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania where Ukrainian soldiers receive training to operate the Patriot air defense systems.
“They are motivated to finish the training quickly with the aim of recovering their homes and achieving victory,” the Ukrainian president, who traveled to the area by helicopter from Berlin, where he participated in a conference, said at a press conference. on the reconstruction of Ukraine.
As part of his trip, the Ukrainian president held a meeting with the German Chancellor, Olaf Scholz, while he also gave a speech in the Lower House of Parliament or Bundestag, where he received numerous applause.
This weekend, Switzerland will host a peace conference on Ukraine, attended by delegations from at least 90 states and organizations (with a total of 160 invited countries from around the world), although Russia has not been invited, so has ruled out that a peace agreement can be signed.
