The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip, controlled by the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), reported on Tuesday the death of 25 people following an Israeli army bombing of a school located in Khan Yunis, in the south of the Palestinian enclave.
The ministry said 53 other people were injured, some of them in serious or critical condition. Medical sources said the bombing occurred at the entrance to the school, which houses displaced people, WAFA reported.
The death toll from Israel’s offensive against Gaza following the attacks carried out on October 7 by Hamas and other Palestinian factions – which left 1,200 dead and 240 hostages – has surpassed the threshold of 38,200 dead and 88,000 wounded, Gazan authorities reported on Tuesday.
