June 3 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The authorities of the Gaza Strip, controlled by the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), have estimated this Monday at nearly 36,500 Palestinians killed in the almost eight months of offensive unleashed by the Israeli Army after the attacks carried out on September 7. October by the Islamist group and other Palestinian factions, including 40 fatalities during the last day.

The Gaza Ministry of Health has indicated that “the toll of Israeli aggression has increased to 36,479 martyrs and 82,777 wounded”, before specifying that “the Israeli occupation committed four massacres against families in Gaza during the last 24 hours, with 40 dead and 150 injured” in this period.

Furthermore, he stressed that “an undetermined number of victims remain under the rubble and lying on the roads, without ambulances and Civil Defense teams having been able to reach them.” The authorities have also put the missing figure at nearly 10,000, so it is feared that the death toll is much higher.

Hours earlier, the press office of the Gazan authorities had warned that “more than 3,500 children under five years of age are at risk of death” due to the “famine policy” imposed by Israel within the framework of its offensive after the aforementioned Hamas attacks, which left nearly 1,200 dead and some 240 kidnapped, according to the balance sheets of the Israeli authorities.
