The Civil Defense of Gaza assures that these are “heroes who gave all their time” to save lives and that they were “some of the best”
June 28 (EUROPA PRESS) – The government of the Gaza Strip, controlled by the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), has denounced this Thursday night the death of three humanitarian workers in a bombing by the Israeli Army at their workplace, located in the Nuseirat refugee camp, in the center of the Palestinian enclave.
“The ‘Israeli’ occupation Army has committed a new war crime against International Law and against humanity by directly targeting civil defense teams with the intention of attacking them while they were at their workplace in the Nuseirat camp. , which has led to the martyrdom of Lieutenant Abdul Ghaffar Asaad al Munqeth, Ammar Awad al Munqith, and Ziad al Habbash, in addition to several injuries among civil defense personnel,” the Gaza Government Media Office reported.
Furthermore, he highlighted that these workers were “some of the best members” of the service, whom he considered “heroes who gave all their time to provide humanitarian service”, highlighting that “they managed to save thousands of lives.”
He then called on the international community to provide protection to the Civil Defense teams, which is a “clear objective” of the Israeli Army.
Finally, it has promised to continue providing its relief and emergency services “even if the occupation” continues “attacking” and “killing” them.
The Israeli Army began a bloody offensive against the Strip following the Hamas attacks, which left 1,200 dead and 240 hostages. Since then, Gazan authorities have reported the deaths of more than 37,760 people, in addition to more than 520 Palestinians killed in the West Bank and East Jerusalem due to the actions of Israeli security forces and settlers.
