The fact that AMD has published the source code of FSR 2.0 has meant that various modders have been able to adapt the technology to make it work unofficially in various games. One of the ways to make it work is to modify games with support for NVIDIA’s alternative, DLSS. In this way, it could be made to work in games like Metro Exodus, Cyberpunk 2077 or Red Dead Redemption 2 among others.
Now, after new modifications to the “mod” itself, forgive the redundancy, it has made new games join the unofficial support for the second generation of AMD Radeon Super Resolution, for example, Diablo 2: Resurrection. Once the MOD is installed, we have to make the game believe that we have an NVIDIA RTX graphics card, in such a way that the DLSS option is activated in the game, but when selecting it, it is AMD FSR 2.0 that works.
In this link we can see the differences in quality between the various FSR modes in this game. Keep in mind that it is not an official implementation, so there may be bugs or failures as it is not specifically prepared to work in this game, but it is still a quick and easy way to enjoy part of the advantages of FSR 2.0 in more games than officially supported.
