This coming Thursday, June 22 at 10:00 p.m., the documentary “En Busca de Nuestros Orígenes” will be released on NTV screens, the cultural channel of TVN.
Andrea Riquelme, Journalist.- The production tells the story of Marianh, a young student from San Pedro de Atacama, who explores the mystery of sounds and music in the Universe, approaching the ancestral knowledge of native peoples together with the cultivator Margarita Chocobar and the answers that has science on these phenomena.
“Are there sounds in the Universe?… several of us think so, because of how they are shown in action movies, for example in Star Wars, when planets explode, ships, comets emit sounds” Marianh and her friends question. The astronomer José Gallardo invites Marianh to visit the ALMA observatory and will give her an answer that will surprise her.
The documentary is part of the upcoming television series of the same name being prepared by the production company Vectorial Films. The project is currently applying to the CNTV 2023 Fund and is financed by the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage through the Strengthening Line for Television Series, the ALMA observatory and Vectorial Films. Plus the support and collaboration of Fundación Caserta and Fundación Violeta Parra.
The series aims to reveal stories of young Atacameños who seek to know the mysteries of the Universe through their ethnicity, their traditions, cultists and ancestral worldview; linked to the latest discoveries of ALMA, the largest astronomical project that exists today, connecting magically with the past.
