One of the most prestigious video game studios in the world is FromSoftware, whose titles became very popular thanks to Dark Souls. The company’s followers are constantly waiting for their projects and asking for more games. For all of them there is good news, since the study does not want to stop offering new games and not keep players waiting.
Despite not being a big company, FromSoftware has great support from its parent company Kadokawa and as a result is a very prolific studio that is working on multiple projects spread across multiple teams.

FromSoftware wants to release games more often
This was revealed by FromSoftware producer Yasuhiro Kitao in an interview with Eurogamer when questioned about the studio’s production process.
Kitao mentioned that it is a way of working that “hasn’t changed much in the last 10 years, particularly since [Hidetaka] Miyazaki has been president of the company” and mentioned that the intention is that from now on he does not have to spend so much time between the launch of each project.

“It’s an area that we feel we always aspire to achieve: always do something new, always do original, something that we find interesting and fun as gamers. (…) We develop multiple titles simultaneously, we have several teams working on different projects. We hope to scale up our releases and deliver something new and exciting at hopefully not-so-long intervals from now on,” the producer said.
Certainly the philosophy can be noticed, since in 2014 it was launched Dark Souls II1 year before Armored Core: Verdict Day and the previous year Armored Core V. In 2015 it came out bloodbornein 2016 Dark Souls III. Then it took 2 years for the premiere of Déracine and 1 year later he arrived Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. It was then that there was the longest wait for a FromSoftware game, since elden ring debuted until 2022, but luckily annual releases were resumed with the release of Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon in 2023.
