Free! The Nintendo 3DS eShop allows you to download a couple of themes that were previously sold

Downloads can still be made from the Nintendo 3DS eShop

One of the saddest news this week and probably the entire year was the closure of the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS eShops. However, along with this situation came some positive points that the players are taking advantage of. One of them was that Pokémon Bank is already free and now it has just been revealed that 2 themes for the console can also be downloaded for free.

As you surely remember, the stores for retro consoles closed on March 27 and it is no longer possible to make purchases in them, which has caused immense sadness among users who said goodbye to eShops in very creative ways.

However, if you’re still using your Nintendo 3DS, you’d better check out a couple of menu themes that you can download completely free, which can be seen in the following image shared on the hardware subreddit.

Here we leave it for you:

As you can see, the shared themes are a small parting gift from the eShop on the portable platform, so gamers with an American account can get them for free.

It is worth mentioning that these themes are “Dots and stripes: yellow and white” and “Stars: gold and black”, which previously had to be purchased in exchange for $0.99 USD (approximately $18 MXN).
