MADRID 10 Nov. () –
Four suspects have been arrested and 400 kilograms of cocaine have been seized on board a fishing boat off the coast of Kent, in the United Kingdom.
The Border Force intercepted the boat on Sunday morning, as reported by the British National Anti-Crime Agency (NCA).
Three of the suspects, aged 25, 45 and 64, were on board the boat, while the third, aged 36, has been arrested in Rainham, east London.
“This amount of cocaine represents a significant loss for the organized crime group that has attempted to import it into the United Kingdom,” said NCA operations director Jules Harriman, speaking to Sky News.
“With our partners from the Border Force and the Joint Maritime Security Center we have eliminated the shipment of this harmful drug from the criminal market. Our investigation remains open,” he added.
