Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie filed the documents to formally launch his Republican bid for the US presidency.
Christie has said he is the only candidate in the field capable of taking on former President Donald Trump. It will be the second time that the former governor has run for the White House, after losing to Trump in 2016.
“The person I’m talking about, who is obsessed with the mirror, who never admits to wrong, who never admits to fault, who always finds someone else and someone else to blame for anything that goes wrong, but finds all The reasons for taking credit for everything that goes right is Donald Trump,” Christie told a small, mostly friendly crowd at Saint Anselm College.
The former governor also charged against the current president of the United States, Joe Biden, criticizing him that “he is doing the same thing, only on the other side.”
Christie asserted that he had known Biden for decades and said that the president is “out of his league” because “he is not the type that he used to be”, referring to Biden’s advanced age, 80 years old.
