A former Apple employee has been sentenced to 3 years in jail for a $17 million fraud for which he pleaded guilty. Dhirendra Prasad joined Apple in 2008 and ran this scheme from 2011 to 2018.along the way, using his knowledge of Apple’s fraud detection systems to avoid getting caught along the way, colluding with two vendors to inflate bills, and generally making Apple pay for products or services you never received.
As part of your sentence, the payment of those 17 million dollars has been ordered, of which 5.5 million dollars have already been obtained from the seizure of their properties.
