Flir is a company specialized in thermal cameras, among other specific products, ranging from UAVs for military use to devices of all kinds for industrial or professional use. In its catalog we can find models of professional thermal cameras for all kinds of applications, or even integrated into smartphones. And for years they have also had modules that are attached to the smartphone through its data port.

Now, his latest creation in that sector is the Flir One Edge Pro, a thermal camera that does not require cables to work, since it connects wirelessly to mobile devices such as smartphones or tablets of all kinds, whether they are with the iOS or Android operating system.

Its price is 664.29 euros in Spain, with VAT included. And its functions range from detecting heat leaks, checking the temperature of any element, even with videos. The integrated battery gives it an autonomy of an hour and a half, approximately.

Their infrared thermal sensor has a resolution of 160 x 120 and is capable of detecting temperatures ranging from -20 degrees to 120, and from 0 degrees to 400 (all in Celsius). Its accuracy is +-3 degrees and it is capable of operating in environments ranging from -10 degrees to 50 degrees.

The Flir One Edge Pro has another color camera with a resolution of 640 x 480 to combine the thermal images with the real ones, its mode of connection to smartphones and tablets is through Wi-Fi ac. It has an extendable clip system to be able to attach directly to the smartphone if we do not want to use it independently.
