Flávio Bolsonaro thanks his father for the votes; he speaks of "raising his head" and not "giving up" on Brazil

Senator Flávio Bolsonaro, the first member of the nucleus closest to President Jair Bolsonaro to rule on the elections, thanked his father for the votes, who was overtaken at the polls by former president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva by a small margin on Sunday.

“Thanks to each one of those who helped us rescue patriotism, who prayed, prayed, took to the streets, gave their sweat for a country that is doing well and gave Bolsonaro the largest vote of his life! head and let’s not give up on our Brazil! God in command!,” Bolsonaro’s son tweeted.

The president has not yet commented on the result.

For months, at various times, Bolsonaro has come to question the acceptance of the result. On the eve of the elections, however, the president went so far as to say that “whoever has the most votes leads.”
