Firefox has also implemented a user interface that allows handling exceptions for DNS over HTTPS (DoH). DNS is a domain name system, that is, a tool that translates domain names to IP addresses. For its part, the DoH system guarantees that attackers cannot falsify or alter DNS traffic.
In this framework, the exception protocol for DNS over HTTPS is a feature that allows DNS requests to be sent as HTTPS traffic to DoH-compliant servers. With this option, Firefox can encrypt DNS queries by sending them over HTTPS and thus add a form of security so that they are not falsified.
Following this line, the DNS protocol over HTTPS has been included in the ‘Privacy and security’ section within the Firefox settings.
