Final Fantasy VII Remake would no longer be exclusive to PlayStation and would arrive on Xbox with other installments of the Square Enix saga

Despite being one of the brands with the greatest presence in the industry, Xbox does not have any major games on its consoles. Among them are several installments of Final Fantasyone of the most popular JRPG series in history and one of the franchises with the longest legacy in the industry.

Xbox players have been left wanting to play the various installments of Final Fantasy VII Remake and Final Fantasy XVItitles that remain as PlayStation exclusives. Also, games like Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters have not arrived at Microsoft systems for some reason.

According to various sources, this situation will change sooner or later, since supposedly all the missing titles of Final Fantasy On Xbox they will have their respective port in the future.

Final Fantasy VII Remake and more games from the franchise would finally arrive on Xbox

According to Jez CordenWindows Central journalist, Square Enix already has plans to launch major games Final Fantasy on Xbox. Recently, Microsoft consoles received Final Fantasy XIVbut there are still several pending deliveries that have taken years to reach their systems.

This would mean that Fantasy VII Remake, Final Fantasy VII Rebirththe third part of said game, Final Fantasy XVI and Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters would arrive at some point on Xbox consoles.

The source speculates that Microsoft could surprise with one or another announcement related to the saga during its presentation of the Tokyo Game Show 2024; however, nothing is confirmed for now. Corden didn’t give any hints as to when the games might be coming to Xbox, but he made it clear that it will happen sooner or later. It’s worth remembering that this would be possible thanks to a recent change in Square Enix’s strategy.

In case you don’t remember, several of the studio’s games have not had the expected reception. For this reason, in May of this year, it confirmed that it will now focus on multiplatform releases. So it will do everything possible to get its most popular franchises and AAA titles to Nintendo, Xbox, PlayStation and PC systems.

“As for HD titles, the Group will aggressively pursue a multi-platform strategy that includes Nintendo, PlayStation, Xbox and PC platforms. Especially with regard to big franchises and AAA titles, including back catalogue titles, an environment will be created where more customers can enjoy our titles,” the studio previously stated.

This is not the first time we have heard reports about the arrival of various games Final Fantasy Xbox. For this reason, it is best to take the information as a simple rumor and wait for possible announcements from Microsoft and Square Enix.
