We receive interesting news related to Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipsesince those responsible have just given an interview in which they talked about the challenge of bringing the title to the West and what can be expected in the future of the saga.
As you surely remember, the horror title was originally released in Japan in 2008 exclusively for the Wii, so many fans of the franchise were left wanting to play it.
Now, it has been in an interview with siliconewhere producer Yutaka Fukaya and director Makoto Shibata shared a few words about Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse and the challenge of bringing it to the West:
“It wasn’t significantly more difficult than other titles, but the fact that it was a port of Wii, a hardware that is not like any other, was one of the points that required ingenuity. It’s not exactly difficult, but I can say that it took a lot of time and effort, definitely the images. We have devoted a lot of resources to the visuals and have improved the quality of the game,” said Yutaka Fukaya.

In addition to this, those responsible for the horror title talked about the possibilities of bringing more ports to our territory:
“I can’t make any definitive promises here, but if through the release of (Fatal Frame) Mask of the Lunar Eclipse We find that many players want to see more of the series, we may be able to respond to that interest, “replied the producer.

Finally, Yutaka Fukaya also stated that depending on the outcome of this installment, the chances of a completely new installment of the saga being developed could grow.
Now, all that remains is Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse is out for PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC, via Steam, on March 9.
