Farming Simulator 22 Announces Platinum Edition, Bringing the Number of Available Machines to Over 500

Games in the Farming Simulator series often receive the “platinum treatment” and Farming Simulator 22 will be no exception, Giants Software has announced. Farming Simulator 22 Platinum Edition will be available on November 15 and will include, in addition to the base game, an expansion with more than 40 new machines and the Silverrun Forest map. This edition costs 39.99 euros (49.99 euros on console), while separately the add-on is priced at 19.99 euros. It is also included in the Year 1 Season Pass (39.99 euros).

The Platinum Edition of Farming Simulator 22 will allow virtual farmers to add Volvo machines to those already available from brands such as IMPEX, Massey Ferguson, Valtra, CLASS, John Deere, Koller, Komatsu, Pfanzelt, Schwarzmüller, DEUTZ-Fahr, Fendt and Case IH among others. Its content includes more than 40 new machines between vehicles and tools, which will bring the number of machines available to more than 500. “It is a paradise for fans of machinery […]”, assures Giants Software.

“One of the most exciting additions is the Volvo L200H High Lift, a modern high-powered tool that will make heavy lifting child’s play,” explains Giants Software. “Thanks to this elevator you will be able to download a change in the blink of an eye. It’s a new tool, successor to the popular L180H wheel loader, so you can be among the first to experience how it works.” The Swiss developer also highlights the John Deere 843L-II and John Deere wheel fellers. Regarding the new map called Silverrun Forest, it adds a new scenario that seeks to be very different from the others already available, something that it hopes to achieve by taking inspiration from the forested landscapes of the Pacific Northwest. “You will find new production lines and orders to get your operation up and running, you can test machinery and help your neighbors with their tasks and even build your own ship in the shipyard,” says Giants Software. New mechanics will also be introduced which will be detailed later.

For its part, the Year 1 Season Pass includes the Platinum Edition and other content, some of which are already available while others will arrive during the second half of the year. Farming Simulator 22 is offered with a version for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, PC (Steam, Epic Games Store) and Stadia.
