Since it became known that Naughty Dog had plans to make a remake of The Last of Us, there were many who did not like the idea of improving a title that had debuted in less than 10 years and that also had a remastering. Although there was a Naughty Dog developer who expressed that this project was not something made with great dedication and that it was not a simple money grabber, the fans have just reaffirmed his position.
The ongoing controversy and new leaked gameplay of the remake does not seem to justify the full price that the title will have, according to some users, but instead served to reaffirm that the remake is a simple attempt by PlayStation to sell the title again with minimal improvements that they could well have been cataloged as those of a remaster.

Let’s remember that Naughty Dog never promised that there would be big changes in the original game system or in the combat animations, but that it was the game made from scratch for PlayStation 5. The study put an emphasis on the models and facial animations of the characters , mainly. The problem, however, is that many don’t think the changes are enough to justify the “remake” title.

This looks like shit. And what’s even more insulting is that if they just had to waste 2 years in sugarcoating the graphics, they should’ve had the basic courtesy to throw in the Part 2 native PS5 version with it. This shit’s not even worth 30$, let alone full price. https://t.co/UivPPEgXYc

Dude…I hate everything about this release. It’s wasting Naughty Dog’s time, it’s overpriced, it’s missing Factions, it’s a pure waste. I know, I don’t have to buy it, no one does. But that doesn’t mean I can’t complain about it lmao. The whole thing is just stupid https://t.co/L0ETdITJVP
