Starfield It’s already on the way, but unfortunately not all of his fans will be able to enjoy it. The gaming community recently shared the story of Alex Hay, a gaming enthusiast who sadly lost his fight against cancer.
The boy was very excited about the arrival of the title, because he thought he could enjoy it despite his illness. However, the game was delayed and unfortunately Hay passed away before he could even get a taste of the space adventure. For this reason, his colleagues created a campaign for Bethesda to immortalize him and pay tribute to him in Starfield.

Players ask Bethesda to immortalize a fan in Starfield
The reddit community was moved by the story of Hay, who died after his fight with lung cancer. Players believe that the Bethesda fan deserves a tribute in Starfieldso they asked the company to put at least one reference to their story.
Other players have stated that they will follow suit and name their character or ships after Hay. To get Bethesda’s attention, the community created a social media campaign using the hashtag #AlexInStarfieldwhere they shared the story of the boy.
Several players recalled that Bethesda once immortalized a fan in fallout 4, so they hope that you also listen to this request. The YouTube channel Light made a video about it to help the cause and also support organizations that care for cancer patients.
As of this writing, Bethesda hasn’t commented on the matter, so it’s unclear if Hay will have a chance to be immortalized in Starfield. Below you can see the video and some posts from the players:
