“This update includes native PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S applications, configuration options to prioritize performance or quality, and a series of improvements and fixes for game stability,” explains Bethesda Softworks. “Enjoy up to 60 frames per second and higher resolutions than ever. “Fallout 4 players on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will also receive a free update with performance improvements and fixes for login and quests.”
The company has not detailed the configuration options or the differences between the performance and quality option. There is also no trailer to see how the game looks on PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series S/X. We do know that to download the update on a new generation console it is necessary to own Fallout 4 on said console.
For their part, Fallout 4 PC players will receive an update that will add support for widescreen and ultra-sized screens. Fixes will also be implemented in the Creation Kit and a few missions will be updated. “Players who own copies of Fallout 4 for PC through Steam, Microsoft Store or GOG will enjoy greater stability, access to mods and corrections,” comments Bethesda Softworks. In addition, starting today the game is available on the Epic Games Store.
Finally, we have more content for Creation Club, including a new mission called Echoes of the Past where the objective is to prevent the Enclave from spreading its ideology and taking root in the Commonwealth. There are also new workshop items and the Enclave Colonel Uniform, as well as Enclave Weapon Skins, Enclave Armor Skins, Tesla Weapon, Hellfire Power Armor, X-02 Power Armor, and Heavy Incinerator. For those who want more, there is an improvised weapons package that allows you to convert conventional objects such as a piggy bank into lethal tools.
