Fable, South of Midnight and Star Wars: Outlaws have opened the annual Xbox Games Showcase event in which Microsoft’s video game division has shared a large number of scoops along with previews of titles expected by players of their platforms.
Xbox has announced this Sunday the video games that will reach its platforms in the coming months as well as those that are in development in the studios of its brand (Xbox Game Studios) or third parties, in a new edition of Xbox Games Showcase.
This event has been the setting in which the head of Microsoft Gaming and Xbox, Phil Spencer, has announced a new edition of the Xbox Series S console in black and with a 1TB of SSD memory, which will be available on September 1, with remote also in black, for $349.
The avalanche of news has begun with the new installment of Fable, a title for people over 18 years of age, developed by Xbox Game Studios and Playground Games, which explores what it means to be a hero in the kingdom of Albion.
This first part has also welcomed two world firsts: South of Midnight (Xbox Series and Steam), from Compulsion Games, a third-person title with a dark style and fantasy genre inspired by the deep South of America.
Also Star Wars: Outlaws, a new installment of the popular galactic saga, from Massive Entertainment and LucasFilm Games, which immerses the player in a story starring smugglers, set between the films The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.
Thunder Lotus brings one of the many firsts that have appeared in the Xbox event: 33 Immortals (2024), a cooperative action game for up to 33 players, who can participate in ‘pick up’ battles and ‘raids’.
Although it is not a world first, the Xbox stage has presented the gameplay of Pay Day 3, the cooperative ‘shooter’ starring a gang of robbers. It will arrive on September 21.
Together with Obsidian Entertainment, Xbox Game Studios will bring in 2024 Avowed, a first-person game, which puts the player in the shoes of being able to use magic, in a world where a mysterious plague has spread in the world of the living.
The pirate game Sea of Thieves will deliver a new adventure based on The Legend of Monkey Island, which will be available on July 20 for Xbox Series and Steam, from Rare and LucasFilm Games.
The video game firm has announced for the first time the next generation of the Microsoft flight simulator, which will arrive in 2024.
