A Shiite militia denounces an attempt to “disrupt” the visit of the Iranian president on Wednesday

September 11 (EUROPA PRESS) –

Iraqi authorities on Tuesday reported the fall of explosive “objects” near a logistics support centre of the US Embassy and near the headquarters of the Anti-Terrorist Service near Baghdad airport, an incident that has so far resulted in no casualties.

A security source told Iraqi television channel Al Sumaria that “it is not known what type of missile or projectile it is.”

For his part, the military spokesman for the Iraqi Shiite militia Kataib Hezbollah, Jamfar al Hussein, has stated on his account on the social network X that it is an attack with “suspicious hands” behind it and whose purpose is to “disrupt” the visit to the country by the president of Iran, Mashud Pezeshkian, who will arrive on Wednesday.
