Ex-husband of Britney Spears will not be able to get out of jail after raiding the singer’s house

Jason Alexander, ex-husband of Britney Spears, will remain in jail for a long time for trying to sneak into the pop icon’s wedding with Sam Asghari, according to what a judge ruled during a preliminary hearing held on Monday, June 27.

Despite this decision, Alexander’s lawyer appealed, stating that his client is being tried for a felony of stalking when in fact it should be reduced to a misdemeanor because there was insufficient evidence that Alexander was there to harm the artist.

The judge, however, disagreed and decided to retain the Louisiana native on one felony count of stalking with a record and a special enhancement that he was on probation or parole, and three misdemeanor counts of trespassing, vandalism and assault.

Alexander will remain behind bars with his $100,000 bond revoked.

Alexander was initially charged with stalking, but the complaint was changed Friday to felony stalking with a prior domestic violence conviction. The defendant also faces a special enhancement charge because he allegedly committed a crime while already on probation for an unrelated case outside of Tennessee.

Alexander, who appeared in court Monday, pleaded not guilty to all charges and denied the special enhancement charge.

A security guard named Richard Eubler was one of four people called to the stand Monday.

Eubler testified that Alexander tried “several times” to open the locked door to Spears’ second-floor bedroom of their Thousand Oaks, Calif., home while she was inside preparing for their June 9 wedding.

“He was right on the stairs, and that’s when he backed up and started reaching out of his right hand pocket,” Eubler said.

Not knowing what Alexander had in his hand, Eubler remembered reaching for his gun. The confrontation of both was captured in photos of some paparazzi who witnessed the raid on social networks.
