() – Transportation services in some parts of Europe showed signs of recovery after a global computer outage on Friday caused by a botched software update to cybersecurity technology CrowdStrike.
The computer systems of British airports and rail operators returned to work this Saturday, according to British Transport Secretary Louise Haigh.
“Train operators are no longer reporting cancellations or delays as a result of the computer failure,” he said, but acknowledged that a “small number” of canceled flights were expected.
In France, Transport Minister Patrice Vergriete said the situation at all of the country’s airports “has returned to normal.”
Some airlines are also returning to normal, including one of the world’s largest operators, Turkish Airlines, which stated: “The global technical problem has been resolved. “All our operations are back to normal.”
