Estonia considers the Russian version of the murder of Daria Dugina a "provocation"

Aug. 22 () –

The Estonian Foreign Minister, Urmas Reinsalu, considered this Monday a “provocation” the version of the Russian authorities about the murder of the journalist Daria Dugina, daughter of the thinker Alexander Dugin, considered an ideologue of President Vladimir Putin.

The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) has directly blamed the Ukrainian Intelligence for this attack and has identified as the material author a woman who allegedly later fled to Estonia.

“We see this as a provocation by the Russian Federation,” said the head of Estonian diplomacy in statements to the ERR network. According to Reinsaluy, Moscow is trying to put pressure on Tallinn to change its current pressure policy.

This same Monday, the Estonian Foreign Minister had once again defended a new package of sanctions against Russia that included more measures on energy and restrictions on tourist visas, something that at the moment is not contemplated in the EU as a whole.
