The Chinese manufacturer Erying has thrown out a new series of motherboards in Mini ITX format under the name of Erying G660i. What makes them special is not their small size, but instead of using a conventional Intel or AMD socket, they have a laptop processor in BGA format soldered on the board itself.
Specifically, the Erying G660i can hold up to a Intel Core i9-12900HK, with options for lower models like the Core i7-12800H. Naturally, since they are soldered onto the board (these processors are not available for LGA sockets), they cannot be changed by the user (at least not easily).
The supported RAM uses full DDR4 slots with support for modules of up to 32 GB in two slots, therefore, we have a maximum of 64 GB of RAM. It also has a PCI Express 4.0 x16 slot and two M.2 ports.
The Erying G660i It also has standard outputs such as two HDMI, a DisplayPort, USB 3.1 and USB 2.0 ports, WiFi 6 and up to two RJ45 connectors with Gigabit Ethernet. Its price starts from $340 with the Core i7-12800H to $300 for the model with the Core i9-12900HK, so it is a fairly cheap way to have a board + CPU set in a standard format.
