You may remember that days ago we informed you of a peculiar rhythm game with a somewhat racy theme, since it would include massages and young people in scant clothing. This title, called Massage Freakscaused a lot of controversy and clues suggest that the Nintendo Switch version had problems and may never see the light of day.
Days after the official announcement of Massage Freaksthe developer and publisher qureate revealed that the game changed its name, so it is now known as beat reflex. There was no explanation for this change, but netizens speculate that it was a consequence of the original name, which was weird and could be somewhat offensive.
As if that were not enough, the names of the girls that the player can give massages to have also been changed. It is important to remember that many identified the original names as the same as those of the young women of the Japanese idol group Hinatazaka46. Thus, Mikuni Haruyama is now called Yurine Haruyama; Shiho Asagiri, Kaeno Asagiri; Kyoko Nagumo, Tsubaki Nagumo; Manamo Yukishiro, Chizuru Yukishiro, and Mirei Ranjou, Kren Ranjou.
The change of name of the title and the characters were not the only modifications that it had Massage Freaks.

Is the hot massage game not coming to Nintendo Switch?
Interestingly, this title was only announced for the Nintendo Switch through the Nintendo eShop and its debut was scheduled for August 4. However, there seemed to be some hiccups.
We say this because qureate via Twitter reported that the Nintendo Switch version will not be available this week as planned, but has been delayed indefinitely after “discussions with the parties involved” (via Gematsu).

What fuels the speculation about the Nintendo Switch version being canceled is that any mention of this edition was removed from the official page of the gamewhich up to now only available through Steam.
“This game may contain content that is not appropriate for all ages, or may not be appropriate for viewing at work: nudity, sexual content, mature content in general. Includes content that is not suitable for all ages, such as partial nudity, themes sexual and intense language”, the developers warn on the game page, in addition to making it clear that all the characters included are over 18 years of age.
