The President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, was sworn in again in the Turkish Parliament this Saturday, thus beginning his third term that will last until 2028. The inauguration ceremony was held in the National Assembly, followed by another act in the presidential complex they will attend 21 heads of state and 13 prime ministers.
The inauguration was also attended by parliamentary and ministerial representatives, and representatives of international organizations, including the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), the NATO (including its secretary general, Jens Stoltenberg) and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
Erdogan has received his mandate from the president ‘in tempore’ of Parliament, the ultranationalist Devlet Bahçelibefore visiting the Anitkabir mausoleum, where the remains of the founder of the Republic of Turkey rest, Mustafa Kemal Ataturkbefore heading to the presidential complex.

Erdogan leads Türkiye since 2003first as prime minister and since 2014 as president, a position that since a referendum in 2017 has the functions of head of state and head of government.
The AKP was made with a total of 268 seats, the majority, although it also has the support of 50 deputies from the MHP and another five from the Well-being Party. In total, they add up 323 deputies who give to the alliance of pro-Erdogan parties an absolute majority in Parliament.

Among the guests are, as confirmed by the Turkish public broadcaster TRTthe president of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, who already arrived yesterday in Ankara; the one from Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliev; that of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosaas well as the Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orbán; and that of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyanwhose country is in a difficult process of reconciliation with Türkiye.
The event started with a parade of horsemen and the firing of 101 gun saluteand will last until the afternoon, when Erdogan will meet with his team to outline the new cabinet of ministers.
