TV3 meteorologist Tomàs Molina will be number two on the ERC candidacy in the European elections on June 9, as announced by the same party this Sunday and by the climate expert on their networks. Molina will join the Ara Republiques list headed by current MEP Diana Riba and in which the EH Bildu coalition also participates, the BNG and Ara Més. Molina is a physicist, associate professor at the University of Barcelona (UB) and head of Meteorology at Catalan public television since 1987. In a video from X, the media meteorologist expressed that he has decided to take a step forward in politics to fight against climate change, precisely one of the great concerns of Catalans about the drought as stated in the latest 'Catalan CIS'.
“All the farmers who have been seen on the roads are right in their demands. Things must be done better and I will try to help.
“We need to fight against climate change. All the farmers who have been seen on the roads are right in their demands. Things must be done better and I will try to help. Climate change must be limited, but it must be done well Listening to everyone. And I give you my word that I will listen (…) I will try to bring Catalonia to Europe“, Molina said.
It should be noted that the ravages of the drought and the revolution in the Catalan countryside have been two of the great realities that have most harmed ERC in its political management in recent times before the president of the Generalitat, Pere Aragonés, announce the early elections in Catalonia.

The Republicans have defended his signing to reinforce the ecological profile of the candidacy “with the aim of continuing to build a Europe of free nations, socially fair, green, feminist and capable of stopping the extreme right.” An election that aims to attract the climate electorate so that ERC has greater representation in European institutions but has aroused internal misgivings.
Bé, he knew that no one is going to say that politics is always fair. Because sometimes it's not today.
In all cases, I will continue working until the end of the day of the legislature to the European Parliament to defend both seriousness and rigor, as I always have, a better Catalonia and a better Europe.

Republican MEP Jordi Solé has expressed that “politics is not always fair”, in relation to Molina being number 2 on the June list. “Sometimes it is not,” said Solé, who is the current number two of ERC in the European Parliament, replacing Oriol Junqueras and who was listed as a 'victim' of Pegasus espionage. “I will continue working until the last day of the legislature to defend with seriousness and rigor a better Catalonia and Europe,” has stated.
