Epic Games Store launches a rewards program to get 5% back (and give away Death Stranding)

The Epic Games Store has been with us for a few years and it still has a long way to go to overshadow Steam, but little by little it is adding initiatives that differentiate it. The latter is a rewards program that allows you to earn 5% cash back for every qualifying purchase. This proposal is launched the same day that the store starts Super Offers with discounts of up to 75% and four free games. The first is Death Strandingthat more than one will already have it because the store had already given it away.

Epic Rewards is “a new way to earn 5% in rewards for every qualifying purchase” made in the store starting today. The program works in a very simple way because it is automatic, it is always available and does not require registration. All you have to do is buy any game, app, add-on or virtual currency on the Epic Games Store, including Fortnite V-Bucks. “You will automatically get back 5% in Epic Rewards, which will be added to your rewards balance two weeks (14 days) after you made the associated purchase,” explains Epic Games.

When Epic Rewards are received, they can be used at checkout to receive a discount on future qualifying purchases or be saved for later. There is no limitation in any way when combining Epic Rewards with other discounts and coupons to get even bigger discounts. However, keep in mind that the rewards expire after 25 months from the date they were sent to the rewards balance.
