The Coomeva Foundation awarded Colombian businessmen, through the Coomeva Award that recognizes the work in innovation and sustainable development.

At the award ceremony for its version 12, which took place in the city of Cali, it highlighted the businessmen associated with Koomeva outstanding in sustainable development and innovation in their business processes.

Coomeva Award is a recognition of the Business Group, which represents a great contribution to the business fabric of the country.

“This award is a strategy to guide companies to self-assess themselves, compare themselves with other organizations and build continuous improvement systems that lead to successful and sustainable practices,” points out the manager of the Coomeva Foundation, Omar Ramírez.

During the 12 versions of this award, Koomeva It has had more than 2,400 registered companies, of which more than 500 have applied and 41 have been awarded, all this thanks to the support of Coomeva and the support of more than 1,900 evaluators.

The award-winning companies are rewarded with a specialized consultancy process through the Coomeva Foundation and an international exchange or training experience.

Likewise, they have been supported in their strengthening stage with resources from Coomeva. The winning business associates for this latest version were: In the category of Micro Business, Dulzainas won, in Cartago Valle, the businesswoman Ana María González. They are dedicated to making exclusive and unique gifts, made with love by female artisans who are heads of households. Its work team consists of women heads of households, giving them the opportunity to earn income and at the same time work from home.

The Barranquilla company MIC Metrología, owned by businessman Luis Santodomingo Encinales, won in the Small Business category. This company has been present in the national metrology market for more than 20 years, developing operations throughout the national territory. Their activity includes calibration, maintenance and supply, also venturing into the health sector.

As a medium-sized company, the Clinical Pathology Unit, of the Associate Entrepreneur Alex Alberto Tejada Nuñez, in Cartagena, won. It is an IPS with more than 20 years of experience in the health sector that provides diagnostic support services such as pathology laboratory, cervical cytology, clinical laboratory, special tests and molecular biology.

This year, the Bogota businesswoman Myriam Liliana McCormick, associated with Koomeva 20 years ago, and who for five years has developed an entrepreneurial project in the company CE& AM SANTA BARBARA SAS.

It is a new concept in permanent lodging for the elderly, becoming a benchmark in the care sector for the elderly, offering a different standard of service.
