THE NUMBER OF DERRENDERS DROPS AFTER THE JUDGMENT OF THE SUPREME

The list of defaulters of the Treasury is abandoned in cases in which debtors reduce their debt below 600,000 euros, even if it is close to that figure, or for other cases such as cancellations due to collection or by prescription or by definitive insolvency, among others, without prejudice to the fact that they may reappear a posteriori.

This year, the list is marked by the jurisprudence established by the Supreme Court in judgments of last January and February, which establish the obligation that debts and tax penalties must be final for their inclusion in the list of defaulters.

Thus, in this tenth list of defaulters from the Tax Agency, a total of 6,076 debtors with the Treasury of more than 600,000 euros at the end of 2022 are included, which represents 13.7% less than the volume collected in the last published list. last year.

According to the data provided this Thursday by the Tax Agency, the global amount of debts included in the new list reaches 15,212 million euros, 14.1% less, although subtracting duplications -since there are amounts that correspond to main debtors and their joint and several managers–, the amount would be 13,566 million euros and therefore, 6.9% lower.
