In charge of the Department for Social Prosperity, “Employ yourself for Change” opened pre-registration to apply for 1,400 job offers distributed in 12 departments. This is an initiative promoted by the Government of Colombia that aims to mitigate the barriers to access to formal employment for the vulnerable population.
Framed in the labor inclusion model with a focus on closing gaps, The program is aimed at the population that has classification A, B and C in Sisbén IV and who is unemployed for a minimum period of one month.
“Today we take an important step towards a future with more opportunities and development for everyone. “With Empléate para el Cambio we are creating a new reality for the population,” stated the director of Management and Articulation of the Social Offer Yury Duque.
The official pointed out that this program “Its fundamental objective and purpose is to guarantee that more people have access to formal, dignified and stable employment, contributing to transforming their lives, that of their families and those of their communities.”
For its application, victims of armed conflict, young people between 18 and 28 years old, women over 40 years old and people with disabilities will be prioritized.
