He 76th Emmy Awards is already off to a very exciting start ahead of Sunday night’s highly anticipated ceremony airing on ABC.
The star-studded awards show returns several months after last year’s was moved to January due to the writers’ and actors’ strikes that brought the industry to a standstill. The 2024 Creative Arts Emmys already saw Hollywood stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Jon Bernthal and more take home awards. But there are still plenty of statuettes left to hand out on Sunday, as the best of television will gather to see the final winners.
“ from FXShogun“The series” is expected to extend its historic run, having already won 14 Emmy Awards, a record for the most awards in a single year.The bear” has picked up seven awards so far, including best guest star and ensemble cast in a comedy series, and continues to be nominated in numerous other categories. It could well break its own record for most Emmys won in a single season: the show took home 10 in its first season.
Others already on the list of winners include Angela Bassett, who finally earned her first Emmy for narrating National Geographic’s “Queens,” and Maya Rudolph, who won for Outstanding Character Voice-Over Performance in NetflixPrime Video’s “Big Mouth.” Michaela Coel won Best Guest Actress in a Drama Series on Prime Video’s “Big Mouth.”Mr. and Mrs. Smith.”
“Schitt’s Creek” stars and father-son duo Eugene and Dan Levy will host the televised celebration.
