Elon Musk calls Olaf Scholz a “jester” and the German Chancellor ironically: “His words ennoble me”

The German Chancellor Olaf Scholzironically this Sunday and said that it ennobles him that the American technology businessman Elon Musk has called him a “jester” on his X account, the social network of which the tycoon is the owner.

“It ennobles me,” Scholz said ironically in an interview given late on Sunday on the public channel ‘ARD’, in which he was asked about a comment that Musk made this week, in which the tycoon wrote in German ‘Olaf ist ein Narr’, in Spanish: “Olaf is a jester.”

Although it is suggested that Musk could play a role in the future Administration of the American Donald Trump, Scholz said after his ironic comment that the “tech millionaire is not a head of statealthough sometimes you get the impression that technology companies are bigger than States” and, therefore, it is not something to which you have to react, according to Efe.

Christiane Hoffmann, Scholz’s spokesperson, had already spoken along these lines on Friday, pointing out in a regular press conference that “Internet entrepreneurs are not state bodies” and that is why she had not even “taken note” of Musk’s message in networks.

In his speech, Hoffmann reaffirmed that the Government believes that “it is appropriate to continue being present in X”a tool that the German Executive uses recurrently to account for its activity.
