The counting of the presidential elections is advancing more and more slowly, once the official figures ensure that more than 90% have been counted.
With 94.66% counted, Erdogan would maintain 49.56% of the votes, at the gates of an absolute majority that would prevent his presidency from being played in the second round, while Kiliçdaroglu would take 44.72% of the votes .
The latter has assured that the campaign of the still president of the country is blocking the system, by constantly challenging the counts. “There are ballot boxes that have been contested up to 11 times,” Kiliçdaroglu said, according to Al Jazeera. He has claimed that 300 ballot boxes have been challenged in Ankara and 783 in Istanbul.
The opponent has indicated that “what is going to happen cannot be avoided through objections.”
