Between the months of July and August 2022, 36 postgraduate students from 15 countries participated in the 23rd version of the Advanced Studies on Latin American Economies, organized annually by the Division of Productive and Business Development of ECLAC. During the Program, the young researchers studied subjects on structuralist macroeconomics, evolutionary microeconomics, and development in Latin America and the Caribbean, among others.
Paula Constante, an economics student from Brazil, points out that she was very happy and satisfied with the library’s services.
“Studying at the ECLAC library has been a good experience. They have many books that are very relevant to my doctoral thesis. The library spaces are very good because they have a conference room for group study and desks for individual study.”
Likewise, Fabián Barros, assistant at the Hernán Santa Cruz Library comments “we are glad that ELADES students use the space and services of the library for their research projects. We are pleased to contribute to the research processes of current and future students”.
The Hernán Santa Cruz Library in Santiago de Chile provides services to ECLAC staff, UN agencies and the general public; every year it offers its services and spaces to ELADES students, facilitating access to various printed and digital resources and to the richness of the historical heritage, formed from 1948 to today. We make available to ELADES a Academic Guide with the calendar of classes, activities and teaching material, which guides the search for these and other sources of useful information for their academic activities.
We are already waiting for the next promotion of ELADES 2023!
