Eight people die in the partial collapse of a residential building in the Russian region of Tula

At least eight people have died this Wednesday due to the partial collapse of a residential building in the Russian city of Efremov, located in the Tula region (west), as confirmed by the emergency services.

“The bodies of several dead have been found. They have been removed. In total, at 1:30 p.m. (local time), there are eight dead,” the emergency services have indicated, as reported by the Russian news agency Interfax.

The collapse, whose causes are unknown at the moment, took place in a building where more than 230 people resided, including about 35 children, according to these reports. Some of those affected have been transferred to temporary accommodation centers in Efremov.
