( Spanish) — This Thursday night there were three explosions with “minor charges” in Guayaquil, the Ecuadorian Interior Minister, Juan Zapata, reported this Friday.
In an interview with Teleamazonas, the official specified that the incidents took place in three sectors of the coastal city: La Alborada, Machala avenue between Vélez and Hurtado, and in Pascuales. requested more details from the Ministry of the Interior and awaits a response.
The authorities did not report any injuries or damage and affirmed that police teams were deployed to respond to these emergencies and “counter threats,” according to state media El Telégrafo, citing the Ecuadorian Police.
The explosions were recorded hours after the United States Embassy in Ecuador warned that criminals would be planning various bomb attacks in different parts of Guayaquil.
